Yoho Votes to Fund Military for FY18

Feb 6, 2018
Press Release

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL) voted in favor of a continuing resolution that funds the US Armed Forces for Fiscal Year 2018, provides a 2.4% pay raise for our troops, and increases troop levels for our active duty, Reserve, and National Guard.  In addition to funding our nation’s military, the vote funds the federal government until March 23rd, makes common-sense Medicare Reforms, and extends and improves various bipartisan health care programs. Congressman Yoho released the following statement:

“Tonight’s vote will deliver the vital funding our military needs to maintain readiness and to complete the mission they have been tasked to carry out in defense of the nation. This resolution not only provides certainty but provides our troops with a much needed raise in pay. It is important to note that this resolution makes bipartisan improvements to Medicare and public health programs. It will extend, for two years, programs like the Community Health Centers, National Health Service Corps, Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education, Family-to-Family Health Information Centers, and Special Diabetes Programs. This resolution will now head to the Senate for their consideration and approval.”
