Yoho Statement on Recent N. Korean Cruise Missile Test

Jun 8, 2017
Press Release

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific, released the following statement on North Korea’s recent cruise missile test:

“Once again the ruthless dictator Kim Jong-un antagonized the region and the world by firing off cruise missiles into the waters between Korea and Japan. Kim is determined to create uncertainty while he continues to brainwash and starve his people. Additional sanctions must be imposed to address these North Korean threats.  In light of this recent test, I would urge the South Korean government to reconsider its suspension of the Terminal High-Altitude Defense System (THAAD). Ensuring the safety of our troops and allies must be our top priority.”
