Yoho Statement on House Passage of Disaster Relief Bill

Jun 3, 2019
Press Release

Washington D.C. – Congressman Ted S. Yoho (FL-3) released the following statement on the House's passage of the Senate Amendment to H.R. 2157 - Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act:

“Today, I voted in support of the disaster relief bill that brings much-needed relief to our Florida farmers and families who were devastated by Hurricane Michael. Hurricane Michael destroyed over three million acres of timberland at an estimated loss of over $1.2 billion; just for that crop. If farmers can't rebuild, those lands will go out of production and won’t return to agriculture. It's imperative that we help these farmers rebuild and replant for America's food security.”
