Yoho Opposes Government-Control of Internet
Apr 10, 2019
Press Release
Washington, D.C.— Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL) released the following statement following the passage of H.R. 1644 – the Save the Internet Act - without bipartisan support:
“Today I voted against the Democrats desire to increase government control of the internet. The internet we use every day is improving at a rapid pace because companies are free to innovate. When you allow companies to invest, innovate, and encourage competition – all while holding them accountable - consumers win. The ‘Save the Internet Act of 2019,’ claims to save the internet but it is only going to impose more government regulations, increase taxes, stifle innovation, and limit access to rural communities.”
