Rep. Yoho Statement on the One-Year Anniversary of Parkland Tragedy

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL) released the following statement remembering the one-year anniversary of the tragedy in Parkland, FL.
“As a parent, I cannot imagine the pain and loss that each family has experienced since the day 17 lives were taken from them. It was not just the Parkland community but the entire State and Nation that mourned this tragic incident.
“Today, we will join all of the citizens of Florida and pause for a moment of silence to honor and remember the memory of those we lost on February 14, 2018. We can honor their memory by respecting one another, putting partisan politics aside and living up to the motto of Stoneman Douglas High School to ‘Be Positive – Be Passionate.’
“Divisive politics will not bring back these precious lives nor will it prevent another tragedy. We will continue to work together to keep our children and our schools safe.”
