Rep. Yoho Comments on Supreme Court Voting Rights Act Decision

CONGRESSMAN YOHO COMMENTS ON SUPREME COURT VOTING RIGHTS ACT DECISION

WASHINGTON--Congressman Ted Yoho (FL-03) said the following after the Supreme Court's decision to strike down Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act:

"The Supreme Court’s decision to strike down Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act rightly places the responsibility for clear and constitutional legislation back where it belongs, with Congress.  Moving forward, it is my goal to make sure that only legal U.S. citizens, verified at the local level, ever exercise the privilege that is the right to vote.  In this country, the people govern. It is our responsibility to speak and work together on their behalf."
