Nadler Still Refusing to Grant House Judiciary Republicans a Minority Hearing

Dec 16, 2019
Press Release

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL), member of the House Freedom Caucus and signatory to a letter to House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler, requesting a minority hearing under House rules, released the following statement :

“Last week, December 10th, the House Freedom Caucus wrote to Chairman Nadler to express our desire to have minority hearing in compliance with House rules - Clause2(j)(1) of Rule XI. There has been no response from Chairman Nadler. His silence and denial of a minority hearing under the rules is a blatant effort to shut the minority party out of the impeachment process. House Republicans are well within their right to call for this hearing. Chairman Nadler and his Democrat colleagues have pushed through the impeachment of a duly elected president at lighting speed. Under House rules, Republicans have the right to an unbiased hearing, especially when we are dealing with the impeachment of a sitting president.”
