House Passes More Bills to Stop Human Trafficking

Jul 13, 2017
Press Release

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL) voted for three bills that will help crack down on the horrible crime of human trafficking. Congressman Yoho voted for the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Act (H.R. 2664), the Enhancing Detection of Human Trafficking Act (H.R. 2480), and the Empowering Law Enforcement to Fight Sex Trafficking Demand Act (H.R. 2200). Congressman Yoho released the following statement:

“Human trafficking is the fastest growing crime around the world. We must do all we can to stop it. This modern day slavery has no place in the twenty-first century. Our votes, in addition to the 13 bills we passed earlier this summer, are positive steps forward in hunting down those who exploit the innocent and in giving law enforcement the tools they need to find and prosecute traffickers.”
