Happy Mother's Day from Congressman Ted Yoho

Friends,

It's a good day when Congress votes to give the American people freedom, and not another mandate. We did that this week with the Working Families Flexibility Act of 2013.

For 30 years, federal employees have had the option of earning comp time instead of pay for overtime hours worked. Everyone deserves choices and flexibility. The bill we passed this week, H.R. 1406, extends that option to employees and their employers in the private sector. It's entirely optional for employees and their employers, and it stands up for families.

This weekend, I wish my mom, Elaine, my wife, Carolyn, and all mothers a Happy Mother's Day. I hope hardworking moms across North Florida feel loved and appreciated for all the sacrifices they make for their families. I look forward to the Working Families Flexibility Act becoming law, so families can make the choice to spend more time together.
