CONGRESSMAN YOHO COMMENDS LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT

Jun 13, 2014
Press Release
WANTS TO MAKE NORTH FLORIDA HUMAN TRAFFICKING FREE

Congressman Ted S. Yoho (FL-03) released the following statement commending the efforts of local law enforcement on stopping human trafficking:

“I would like to commend Alachua County Sheriff, Sadie Darnnell, the Gainesville-Alachua County Drug Task Force, and local law enforcement officials for the work they did in the arrest of a human trafficking suspect in Gainesville this week. This arrest highlights the sad reality that human trafficking exists in our communities and neighborhoods. However, if we equip ourselves with the knowledge and tools to identify these terrible crimes, we go a long way in making North Florida a zero-tolerance zone for human trafficking. I look forward to offering our resources and working with local law enforcement as well as county, district and state attorney’s to bring this scourge to an end in District 3, throughout Florida, and throughout the nation. It is my hope that this arrest marks the beginning of the end for human trafficking in our area.”
