Chairman Yoho’s Statement on North Korea Missile Test
Washington D.C. — Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific, issued the following statement after North Korea latest ballistic missile test:
“The recent intercontinental ballistic missile test from North Korea only solidifies the need for stronger sanctions to be levied on that despotic regime. Earlier this week the House and Senate overwhelmingly passed bipartisan legislation to sanction North Korea. The world community needs to come together to stop Kim Jong-un’s deliberate march towards nuclear weapons.
“His continued missile tests and belligerent rhetoric are a threat not only to America, South Korea, and Japan; it is a threat to global peace and stability. The world’s most destructive weapon cannot be in the hands of the world’s most brutal dictator.”
