The Central Intelligence Agency has, for years, been engaged in a secret drone war, carrying out operations in the Middle East to hunt down terrorist leaders. While it’s understandable that some measure of secrecy is needed to carry out its duties, for far too long Congress has been unable to perform any meaningful oversight of the Agency’s activities.
WASHINGTON D.C. —Ander Crenshaw and Ted Yoho, both Congressmen who represent Northeast Florida, agree that President Obama’s failure to enforce pre-existing laws has greatly contributed to the current immigration crisis at the southern border.
“He continues to ignore immigration law, and he tries to go around Congress,” Crenshaw says.
Florida Republican Rep. Ted Yoho says Mexico should not get foreign aid until the U.S.-Mexico border is secure.
“Mexico should not be accepting American generosity with one hand and covering their eyes to the situation at the border with the other,” Yoho explained.

From his perch on the Foreign Affairs Committee, U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., teamed up with liberal stalwart U.S. Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., to add an amendment to the Department of Defense (DOD) Appropriations Act to ensure federal funds would not go to back Man-Portable Air-Defense Systems (MANPADS) for Syrian rebels.
Republicans in the U.S. House caucused on Thursday and chose U.S. Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., to replace U.S. Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., as House majority leader. They also selected U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., to replace McCarthy as GOP whip.
U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., scored a win on Tuesday as he added an amendment, which Congress accepted, to the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act (THUD). Yoho’s amendment would ensure the federal government does not fund tracking civilian vehicles through GPS and other methods.
