Yoho Votes to Protect Defenseless Unborn Children
Washington, D.C. –Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL) released the following statement after voting in favor of H.R. 7 - the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act. The bill applies the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer funded abortions, uniformly across federal programs, including the Affordable Care Act.
“I believe life begins at conception. I believe it is our responsibility to protect the thousands of unborn children whose voices go unheard. As a Christian and father of three, I believe the lives of all children are just as important as yours or mine. Today I made sure the Hyde Amendment was applied to all federal agencies ensuring that not a dime of taxpayer money goes towards funding abortions. The bill we passed today safeguards the lives of unborn children who would otherwise be robbed of the opportunity to experience the marvels of life. Life is a precious gift granted to us from our Creator and I will do all I can to defend it.”
